November 9th-10th, 1974, from 11:30 PM - 12:45 AM Edmund 4.25" F/10 reflector. Magnification 45x. The above sketch of the Orion Nebula was the second deep-sky sketch that I ever made. In my observing notes I recorded: "A beautiful glowing object.". Although the nebula appeared green in color I used yellow to represent it in the sketch. |
