Comet S4 1999 LINEAR, July 21, 2000, 2:20-2:40 UT, seeing 5, transparency 5.0.
Astro-Physics 5.1" f/8.35 EDF refractor on homemade Dobsonian-style mount. Magnification 68x-87x, field of view: 0.82 degrees.
Pseudo-nucleus appeared relatively bright and starlike. Coma fan shaped and almost wrapped around pseudo-nucleus. Dust tail on left side of comet appeared feathered. Tail length a little less then 3/4 degrees.
