Spring Time
Welcome To Eric Jamison's Astronomy and Photography Home Page I began observing the stars, constellations, Moon and planets with the unaided eye in the 1950's. In the 1960's I observed my first total lunar eclipse, and in 1971 I observed my first total solar eclipse. I purchased my first telescope in 1972. I set this web page up to help encourage and inspire others interested in astronomy. On this web site you will find articles I have written on choosing a telescope, telescope aperture considerations, introduction to sketching, the history of astronomy, and equipment reviews. Also you will find drawings and visual observations I have made of the planets, deep-sky objects, comets, as well as astrophotographs and nature photographs I have taken. Please feel free to stop by from time to time as I will be adding new material in the future. All photographs, drawings, and articles: © 2000 - 2012, Eric Jamison, All rights reserved.
